Ensemble MILAN AJVAZ

The
ensemble „Milan Ajvaz“ – Srpski Krstur bears the name of a
famous actor who was born in Srpski Krstur, a village in the
region Banat not far from the Hungarian border which is
characterised by agriculture. Founded in 1976, „Milan Ajavaz“
is already celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
The about 40 dancers and musicians present with their
performances in traditional colourful costumes the songs,
dances and customs of the home region Vojvodina - Banat and
of whole Serbia.
„Milan Ajvaz“ – Srpski Krstur is as well organiser of an own
folklore festival in which about 10 domestic folklore groups
take part every year. In the year 2006, the event should
become international for the first time.
The young ensemble members have performed on many stages of
the world and were "celebrated" among other things by the
audience in Spain, France, Hungary, Macedonia, Germany,
Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria.
